In the past, a prescription for a cortosteroid spray like Flonase is the only thing that has helped, however my local pharamcy also suggested presrciption for an anti-histamine spray. Does anyone know if this would be comperable to the steroid. Thanks.
No, the way they act is different. I use Flonase but I have to use it every night even if my nose is clear. That's how it works to keep swelling down. Antihistamines suppress the histamine response.
