I am tall and have shoe size 9,5. So I kept walking around in flip flops, big winter boots or sneakers only to avoid pain. Couldn't wear ANY nice shoes. I can wear nicer shoes now since the surgery, it is so much better!
I couldn't straighten my toes with my hands either. If the joint/bone is so stiff, you can't do anything else as surgery. I lost feeling in one of the toes after surgery but it was still worth it. I had surgery in 3 toes on my left foot. Haven't done the right foot yet.
