My sister did reflexology and wow was it great. I don't live by her anymore and you've got me thinking of searching for one. It really made me feel wonderful. Good luck with it!

So ANY of those things could've been the cause, or (the most likely) - a combination of things was the cause.

The guy examined my feet, and applied pressure to certain points, with pauses between. I remember it was sort of like a staccatto foot massage, if you can imagine such a thing. He told me what he was doing, and why, but I can't remember much of it. I remember the "experience" more than the details of the experience.

I can say, however, that it was a relaxing experience, and was definitely de-stressing, and I'm sure that must have contributed to the healing process. It didn't prevent me from developing complications 20 years later (osteopenia and degenerative disc disease). On the other hand, I was told I'd probably be in a wheelchair by the time I hit 40. I'm 52 and I'm still riding a bike, walking around, physically active. I have to take an ibuprophen every couple of days but other than that I'm fine.
That's so great AnonChick. We have to keep it moving, your post is nice to hear.

Several months ago I found a new massage therapist who also does reflexology. Can't beat it.

I think reflexology is an excellent idea.

I'd also suggest to try Boiron homeopathics for allergy.

My father and I (different allergies) have both used them to good effect.

go to website for Boiron, there are different remedies for different allergies.

good luck.

Recently, the FM has been causing me to awaken in the morning with pain, numbness and tingeing in my right arm, radiating down to the palm of my hand where between the ring finger and the middle finger the pain is excruciating.

This reflexology does not only work with feet, he also works with the hands.

I enjoy regular massage very much, even deep tissue massage.

What can I expect when I go to this appointment? I know that reflexology is not a cure. Please share your stories. Thank you!
