I would like to give my acupuncturist/therapist a little token holiday gift with a card - nothing too personal, and something inexpensive - just a token type gift. I am stumped for ideas. He is a male in his early 40s. I appreciate any and all ideas!

Just because this is the Alternative Medicine forum, I would like to make the point that a doctor or a practitioner is not the "healer." They are simply the facilitator of healing.

A book store gift card would probably be appreciated, but a sincere "thanks for what you have done for me" means the most.

Thank you, I decided to buy a special card with a hand-written note. I may even include an inexpensive restaurant gift card to a place I know he likes. This person has helped me a lot and I want him to know how much I appreciate it.

You might want to make sure that gift card is to a vegetarian/vegan restaurant, just in case your accupuncturist refrains from eating meat.

Good idea!

Our chiropractor is retiring in the next 30 days and we wanted to also give him something for all the years of service he provided. Mrs Aks asked him if he know of a good vegetarian/vegan restaurant that we could take our brother in law when he comes into town in a few weeks. She was able to get two of his favorites and yesterday we purchased two gift certificates so he can take his wife and himself out for a nice meal.

A tricky way to find out where “he” enjoyed eating out.
lol

There is a place: The Women's Bean Project
Our Vision: Women’s Bean Project strives to break the cycle of chronic unemployment and poverty by helping women discover their talents and develop skills by offering job readiness training opportunities.

If I could, I would love to start one in my hometown.

So much good!

As a healer, I can tell you that I don't necessarily care for gifts that are related to my job.

Do you know anything about this person? Anything about their interest? Why not get them something along those lines?

I gave it to him today - a really cute meaningful card, with a nice gift card to Wendy's which he told me a while back that he loved!
