I don't trust the medical profession. I would go to them for a heart attack, or a broken bone.
I went to a dr. for this pain, which first (one month ago) was in my calf, then it moved to my shin, then to my sciatica nerve, now in my knee.
I got x-rays and blood work. The Dr says must do more tests - could be fibramialgia, or auto-immune disease.
gotta love doctors- they always come up with the worst possible possibility.

I think I want to try acupuncture, or acupressure, or other alternative treatment.

Has anyone experienced anything like this?

Could be your shoes, especially if you've worn the same pair frequently. Could also be the position of the seat when you drive.

yes, believe it or not, it could be an unbalance in your shoes. I wear a foot brace so I have to balance out my other shoe (with socks or an insert), otherwise I get pains in various places from the hip on down. A lady who had hip replacement surgery told me about this and it worked!

Default Update

3rd attempt - I went to a Pain Management clinic. Using ultrasound they discovered a lot of fluid in my knee, removed it and gave me a cortisone shot.

No fun!
but I feel better - not all better, I have pain to walk, but I longer am in agony.
They said I should feel better in a couple of days. Follow up next week.

at least it gives me a breather from intense pain, when I can do my investigation into what is going on. And what I need to do.

It's too bad that (most) doctors don't have any curiosity.
