Has anyone here tried natural or alternative therapies to bring down the platelet count? If yes, would you please share your experience with the natural or alternative therapy that was tried?
My teenaged daughter has just been diagnosed with ET. She is petrified and I can understand that feeling. She has been told that she will not need to undergo the bone marrow aspiration. The JAK2MUTATION test was negative. The haematologist has started my daughter on 100 mg Aspirin daily and has said that she will be started on Hydroxyurea in the next 8 weeks.The specialist advised us to read about the drug before he started her on it. Her platelet count was 1450 and has increased with each subsequent test over the last 3 weeks.
Any feedback or suggestions will be appreciated. Your time ,your patience , your experience is highly respected and appreciated.
