- Has anyone ever had this problem?

There's natural herbal and vitamin products combinations that give me such vivid dreams that I can't wake up rested.
I feel like I was too busy in the dreams all night long!

Has this ever happened to you? Thanks.

I think you need to be more specific. There are about a million natural herbal and vitamin products out there.

It's entirely possible, especially for herbal remedies that may increase neurotransmitter activity in the brain. St. John's wort is an example, and there are others. It can raise the levels of dopamine and serotonin, both neurotransmitters that affect sleep and can result in insomnia, vivid dreams and other sleep disturbances.

California poppy is the most extreme example of this I can think of. I haven't noticed it with other herbs I've tried.

This will sometimes give me nightmares. And for the life of me, I can't understand why!?

Over exercising or clenching my muscle all day also gives me nightmares for the obvious reason. Which segways into the fact that some stimulants can give me nightmares.
