I have never slept more than 4-4.5 hours, not sure what it would be like. I feel fine the way I am I exercise daily. I rarely dream, most of my sleep time is light sleep 63 percent , rem is about 10 percent, deep sleep is about 12 percent, and awake 15 percent. I love the fit bit cause I can look and see what stages I was in.
I have tried sleeping pills, I still wake at the same time. I have had sleep studies done, where they tried different things, it shows when I lay down I go to sleep immediately, my neuro said its like a light switch its within a few minutes of touching my head to the pillow I wake the same way. No slowly waking up I am just awake and get out of bed and start my day I am alert, i took tests upon waking. I was finally told its just the way my brain is wired.
I even did 5 miles on my treadmill yesterday I slept 4.25 hours.
Have you read any of my post (That Elusive Sleep) and considered any of the stuff I take for my good 9+ hrs of sleep. Latest addition has been 500mg Tryptophan and 50mg P5P (B6) which puts me right back to sleep after trips to bathroom.
I don't know your age but so many issues happened for me after menopause which was in my early 50's. I'm 79.
