I've started this thread so that people can find different ways of managing their anxiety. It's different for everyone so I wanted to talk about all the different options. I personally have found that working on being healthy and staying busy probably works best for me.

There is no "cure" for anxiety. There are various treatments, management methods, behavioral modifications, supplements, and alt-meds to treat or manage it. Some people have learned how to control their moods and emotions and stress triggers so they don't have anxiety attacks, but that pretty much requires that they are already in a stressful situation and know that an attack is imminent if they don't do something first. That, in itself, is a manifestation of anxiety.

Caffeine is the trigger for anxiety attacks for me. Too much and it messes with my nervous system.

I agree that this doesn't seem like a thrilling way to treat anxiety. But having read about hydrotherapy - the so-called "water cure" - that consisted of hours-long ice baths to treat manic patients in mental institutions a hundred years ago, I'm biased!

Very low carbs diet, meditation, stretching, no caffeine and alcohol. Exercising outdoor, growing a garden, hobbies, positive affirmations, visualization techniques. Limited social media, screens in the evening, watching the news, reading/listening horror stories or music. In other words keeping the mind, body and spirit positive, away from dark vibrations. In light.

I think practicing deep breathing techniques and guided meditations are excellent ways to relax. Also look into box breathing. Kundalini yoga is also helpful. My favorite is Kundalini Yoga to Detoxify & Destress by Maya Fiennes. It’s only available on DVD. Here’s a short preview:Maya

I’m also including a link to a different practice with a different instructor available on YouTube. Kundalini Yoga is a practice that uses breathing techniques and movements done with your eyes closed to relax you. It’s a bit different so you probably need to do it a few times to get used to it before you receive the full benefits of the practice.

Anxiety can be reduced or eliminated by learning to relax and by changing your thoughts and reactions to triggers.

Here are some relaxing deep breathing videos:

Check to see if your serotonin production in your gut is somehow compromised. I added probiotics to my diet and it was a big step in helping get on track to overcoming anxiety.
