Does someone also have something to say about Costa Rica ? I'm hesiting between El Savador, Nicaragua and Costa Rica for a entire summer surf trip(i'm a beginner). I'm also concerned about the security in El Salvador..?

Nicaragua is cheap, relatively safe from the gang and drug violence to the north, and has a rich culture in its old cities of Granada and León. The political situation is still dicey (regardless of what side you take), but if you don't talk politics and don't put on airs, you will do well.
