I lived in Santiago de Chile for 1 full year.. I lived in Barrio "Nuñoa" off of avenida Irrarazaval..
I recognized alot of places in these photos.......
Can you make a comparison between Chile/Argentina and or Santiago vs. BA? Why did you leave Santiago? If I remember correctly from previous posts, you are married to an Argentinian.

Yes, that's correct...I married my Argentine wife...
Western Argentina along the border of the Andes: Mendoza, San Juan, San Luis, Catamarca, La Rioja is fairly similar to Chile, as is Neuquen and parts of Rio Negro, Bariloche. However the pampas on the eastern side which is where Buenos Aires is located is very different. It's flat, greener and much more humid, probably not much different from parts of southern Kansas or Oklahoma in some ways. Also makes me think of Illinois in the midwest as well in some spots, however with a more "subtropical climate" and not the harsh, brutal winters that the midwest receives.
Other than that, Chile and Argentina are quite different in my opinion. Different spanish, customs look different. Northern Argentina around Salta/JuJuy is like Bolivia while Formosa, Chaco and parts of Missiones are more like Paraguay and Brazil.
