The place is dirty, poor, depressing. Only a total wasted person can have fun in such a place.
I had a major anguish while going into the seawater - the beaches there are full of algae, and those plants keep rolling on your feet.
You get bothered all the time by the shore by people selling earings, henna tatoos, hair dressings. It was impossible to have a conversation and sunbathing without interruptions every three minutes.
The food is expensive and tasteless.
Trancoso is a beach with a violent sea, full of hippies selling T-shirts (all alike; Porto Seguro is not even original) and a small colonial village with bad preservation. If you're into brazilian colonial architeture, go to Minas Gerais, don't waste your time in Porto Seguro.
Arraial D'Ajuda is a small square with expensive stores that sell the same expensive T-shirts hippies do at Trancoso.
And the parties are a horror show apart. Only "axé" music playing the loudest possible, with ugly people dancing and the ugly turists trying to imitate them.
Don't waste your money there... And if you're nearby, RUN!
