So I've decided I'll be spending the summer in Colombia. I was previously looking at Argentina but the flight prices are pretty ridiculous, inflation is bad, there's the reciprocity fee, and I just don't think it is in my budget considering the things I want to do. Colombia seems like a good compromise and the dollar is doing extremely well there at the moment.
What are some must see things in the country? Any tips to save money? I'm thinking about staying in Bogota. My budget is 3k for the 2 months but I do have some wiggle room. Also I'm gay so any advice on that front would be appreciated.
Bogota is not the cheapest place, you will need to do some looking to be able to comfortably get by with that budget. If you were doing a longer time you could make it easier, but not a whole lot of options for short period living. You probably will find a way, but it will be tight.
