Just an inquiry, is there enough interest in a future Brazil forum?

I think, in general, people interested in Brazil, are not necessarily interested in Spanish-speaking countries. Likewise, I doubt if many interested in the Spanish-speaking countries are all that interested in Brazil. If they were, they could subscribe to both though.

I believe the Mod Policy is that there has to be enough posts in the overall forum with that specific country or sub-region to warrant a sub-forum?

1) Mods - Do we have enough Brazil threads to warrant a new forum?
2) Posters - Do we have enough posters who are interested in Brazil having a sub-forum?

Just an inquiry...

My Brazilian Portuguese sucks but I'd be very interested in that sub-forum.

Formally of Itacaré, Estado de Bahía.

Just curious,...are there any other forum/sub-forums, in any other language than English here in CD?

Well, I have enjoyed reading the topics about Brazil just as much as I have the topics about the rest of Latina America. But I think Brazil deserves its own sub-forum, It seems like much of the conversation around here is about Brazil. Mexico and Canada have their own, I don't see why Brazil shouldn't.

It's against the TOS to use another language other than English. They wanna make sure you are not talking smack about the mods or forum in a foreign language.

Is "Je m'en fous" against the law?

If so, I apologize in advance

I'm not sure if Brazil needs it's own sub forum, but I was always curious why the entire Americas were in one group. I would think separate forums for South America, Caribbean, and Central America (minus Mexico) would be nice. I frequently search for things about Central America or the Caribbean and so many times the threads devolve into topics about South America which is generally useless to me personally. I get that Africa and Asia are one group, but so many English speakers travel and live/retire to Central/South America that I would think there would be enough reason to give them their own categories.

One interesting solution to that would be 'Latin America' which implies Spanish-speaking countries...and then 'Brazil & The Caribbean'.

I know that sounds funny at first glance. One could make the argument that influences of the Caribbean and Brazil could have enough to be categorized together. Whereas the Spanish-speaking parts of Central America and Spanish-speaking South America does too.

One thing for sure, 'Americas' forum never has seemed right to me. Particularly when you suddenly get these occasional U.S.-oriented or Canada-oriented threads that seem so misplaced (yet fits under the title).
