I see the same thing happening here in Argentina somewhat as well. All of my expat friends have returned to the US or Europe, all excluding one. But not just because of economic issues, also increasing insecurity issues as well as I've mentioned...

I think by very definition they'd flee. They are simply and only there because it was booming, when its not, the economic opportunity is gone, and they'd leave.
They really have NO OTHER purpose to be there, if that is the reason they went in the first place.
Argentina has had an unstable economy for many decades. Anybody moving there for economic reasons must have been on crack or a very poor immigrant from bordering countries.
I think people just get bored of living so far away from home. Most of Brazil and Argentina are too far away from the US.

Venezuela is doing its best to make Argentina look better.
I heard it was going to become a separate country.
Please, only people who live online and don't get out in the real world believe things like this. They are normal Brazilians, who accept everyone and are respectful to everyone. I've never had problems there. I know many, many South Brazilians and they never bring this up.
Interestingly here in CA, many of the South Brazilians I know are either married to or dating Mexicans, including my husband, so if they are all racist, that is news to me!!!!
They are more concerned with providing for their families and finding stable jobs like everyone else in the world.
