A person can basically drive to any American country from each other because of the Panamerican Highway. The exceptions are what is known as "El Tapón de Darién" (The Blockage of Darien; the last word is not just the name of the province there, but also of that stretch of the isthmus) in Panama* and island countries for an obvious reason.

* The Panamanian government intentionally refuses to build the final strectch of the Panamerican Highway in an area to the south of Panama City. Its the only part of the highway that starts in Canada and ends in Argentina/Chile that isn't built at all. The government claims that they are protecting the environment and that the indian tribes in the area refuse to allow them to built it. They also claim its a security measure against the guerilla. In general its assumed that those are simply excuses. The Panamanian government is not interested in building that stretch because it would connect Panama with Colombia by land while now a thick tropical jungle covers the entire border region, a major impediment to Colombians wishing to migrate by a safer land route. Colombia is also from whom Panama fought against for its independence. There's also an anti-Colombian sentiment among many Panamanians. As a consequence, its not possible to drive from North America to South America because of that stretch. Every other country in South America and North America can be reached by road. Even Panama is connected with Costa Rica, but not with Colombia.

The United States was the richest country in the world. It has been several decades when that hasn’t been the case. The US has continually fallen down the ranking among countries. Contrary to some countries that on the one hand surpassed the US in wealth and on the other are catching up rather quickly. The US is still among the top 10 richest countries, but its no longer the richest and its position within the top 10 will likely become a thing of the past in a decade or two, if things remain the same or get worse for the US. Simply noting that its no longer among the top 5 richest is a tale tell sign that things aren’t going as well for the US as people think.

It is still the most powerful country, but history shows that power is tied to wealth and power levels aren’t maintained with a decreasing wealth relative to other countries. I don’t see why the US should be different.

Yes do is possible drive from any part of Brazil to all the neighboring contries not only to the souther South americans countries

- By the Interoceanic Highway we can reach Bolívia and Peru easily.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interoceanic_Highway

- Getting at Manaus we can drive to Guyana and Venezuela.

Only to Colombia is easier reachs it driving by interoceanic from Peru than putting the car on the boat to Leticia. Suriname the only way is driving from Guyana. French Guyana is posible drive from Amapa to Caiena but the problem is the cost you need to drive 3, 4, 5 days expending lots of gas is much cheapper take a flight, but these routes are used a lot by trucks with import and export freights. Central Brazilian states exports a lot by peruvian ports.

Why don’t you want a connection? Is it because of the impact it will have on the Amazon?
