There's something that makes these countries unique. Are they defined by a specific name?

I don't know.... they aren't really similar to one another

Bolivia has strong indigenous culture (Aymara, Incan)....

Chile is like a mix of indians and whites

Argentina is largely Italian and Spaniard influenced so is Uruguay

PAraguay is like a mixture of brazil and Argentina with a lot of germans too

I don't think there is a specific name for those specific countries.

Bolivia is definitey the odd one out there. I would cluster Bolivia with Peru and Ecuador in no small part because it is part of the core area of Quechuan language.

The other countries cluster well because they have some of the strongest European influences in Latin America with comparatively less indigenous and African influence as well as some climatalogiacal similarities being further from the equator than most of Latin America.

South America can be divided into the following four regions:

Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador = Andes incan culture

Paraguay, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile = Southern South America

Brazil = Brazil

Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, French Guyana = Northern South America, I would also add Panama as they consider themselves South Americans rather than Central Americans and feel closer to Colombians and Venezuelans than to Central Americans.

Southern Cone:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_Cone

Generally more prosperous and peaceful. Safer for a newbie to travel and live in who isn't streetsmart regarding "typical Latin American issues." Temperate climate, a bit higher % of "white Latin Americans"

I'm thinking of spending a week and a half in Chile within the next couple of years. Its a latitudinal, mirror image of N. Americas west coast. Barren cold current desert transitioning to Mediterranean scrub and agriculture transitioning to cool, temperate rain forest with fjords and glaciers.

Just got back from Australia. Love the southern hemisphere.

As I've known Argentina, Bolivia, Uruguay, and Paraguay are member of Mercosur,a sub-regional bloc and Chile is one of Mercosur associate countries.
So I think name of the cluster of countries that includes Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Uruguay, and Paraguay is Mercosur.

You are right.
Thankfully, Chile is not a member (only associate )of mercosur in any way, shape or form. Just wanted to make that clear. Venezuela is though.

It's actually Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Venezuela. I'm fine with all countries being there except Venezuela

The late "Comandante" Hugo Chávez Frías had a lot to do with Vnzla being included in that group.
Similar ideologies being shared at the time (21st Century Socialism - Socialismo del Siglo XXI) with Brasil (Lula), Argentina (Kirchner), Uruguay (Mujica), Paraguay (Lugo) and the ca$$h box that he brought along with him had a big impact and allowed to be admitted.
