Actually, I thought about riding a horse from Panama to Venezuela, through Colombia, dressed as Simon Bolivar, sword and all, and would find events along the way or I would be the event.

I was living with a witoto woman in Peru. Some witotos resettled in Peru after the skirmish in the 1930's between Colombia and Peru during which Peru lost a strip of land, including Leticia, along the Amazon to Colombia. Some of the people still had an extensive knowledge of the plants in the region
