I finally made it up here! The less said about my first two weeks, the better, but I am in Anchorage now and liking it pretty well so far. I am interested in joining a fitness center, and need some suggestions about which ones offer the best value. I would prefer month-to-month, as I have gotten burned with contracts in the past.

One meet up group is called the Sage Women. You can find it under meet up groups. There is a real diversity of gals in that group. They plan lots of various activities. In addition, I do a lot of hiking with the Alaska Outdoors Group. They have an ad in the paper every week and advertise on Yahoo Groups.
