Its been a while since I have written on here, but I am back!

I am moving to Anchorage November 2nd! I am BEYOND excited! My parents, ARENT! Oh well, they will have to live with it. They are slowly warming up to the idea though.

I will be working for Providence and am ready for all the new things I am going to experience!

Have your parents come visit in the summer for a traveling trip- they will change their views a bit then.

Congratulations! Have you found a place to live yet?

Have a good trip. I started at Providence on Tuesday and people seem nice so far. But I am in a clinic and I am assuming you'll be on the floor and we both know that's two different worlds ;-)
Traffic can get interesting sometimes to and from, so plan your time accordingly. I hope you'll like it here as much as me and my husband have so far!

Congrats! I'm sure your parents are just hating the idea of missing you, it is hard to be apart.

We have a job interview at Providence in November. My husband and I are looking forward to it but our parents aren't. They've been to Alaska in the Summer. I think their biggest concern is us getting depressed in the dark winters.

I hear Alaska Anchorage Winters can be ruff from a few friends I worked with at Chalet Resort Denali, Alaska. my only thought is you should have enough budget for going out to eat with friends. because that will break up the Cold Alaska Spell on the Winter Season. yes upgrade your dinning out budget. save money for large size Television for cable. I been to Alaska four times and always made sure I have back up plan for parents wire extra money onto debit credit card like a walmart card. that always seems to work out. making friends takes time but can make more friends during working times. your in good timing for the Iditarod sled dog race March time from Anchorage. Alaska cellular phone company does the event. make sure you get a 907 cellular number thats Alaska. Be carful on the extra charges for on line computer usage. Alaska is set up diffrnet from the lower 48 states cable communications charge more.

Oh, Bob, you hit the nail on the head!! This is awesome advice!! It gets you out of the house so you can socialize with other people.
