Okay so I'll admit, their beer is quite good and their pizza is okay. But the beer and pizza is not so good its wait-an-hour-for-a-table good.

Last time I ordered carry out pizza, the wait was two hours. For carry out.

I am done with that place. Anyone go still to endure that wait?

pick your time to go there. Next time have them call you when your pizza is about cooked so you can pick it up hot.
Summer is over but this kind of a local place and is busy on weekends and evenings.

Nope. I too refuse to endure the insanity of that place just for mediocre pizza. It goes to prove what was mentioned in the other thread - that Anchorage (and Alaska in general) is starved for good food.

go to Guidos or try take and bake. We get our pizzas at Starvin Marvins and bake them at home . Actually I have one in the freezer now.
I haven't been in the mooses tooth in over ten years but they did have cold bottled beer that was pretty tasty.

If you have a joint called Moose's Tooth, and you can't get a Moose Whisperer to endorse it, you might just as well put up a For Sale sign.

I went a few times last year. I know many just RAVE about the pizza, however while the pizza was above average, the wait times were annoying. I decided to fiddle around and start making my own, which turned out better than expected.

I have never understood the popularity of Moose's Tooth. Tried it several times over a few years and was never impressed.

I know it gets busy there, but they do have good pizza. We walked right in at 5:00 on a Tuesday and were seated within 15 minutes... another time that same trip, maybe 4 days later, we walked in at 5:15 and got 2 seats at the bar, ordered pizza and were only on our 2nd beer when the pizza arrived. This was the end of August, first week of September this year.

Perhaps we have been lucky.
