Anchorage job searching! (Eagle: job market, live, moving to)

We are moving to anchorage, hoping to get more info on eagle river area. We aren't moving for another 10 months. When should I start to apply for jobs and how can I find the really good jobs?

What kind of information are you looking for?

Having lived in Eagle River for most of my life and gotten a job here, I'll tell ya, it's kind of difficult to get a job *here* in Eagle River. It's a small community, filled with great people, lovely activities, and local businesses. That said, it's a bit tough on the job market unless you want to work for Taco Bell or some other food chain. We do have some great receptionist jobs here and the local vets seem to always be in rotation but it depends on the type of job you actually want. Anchorage probably has more jobs available.

I'd start looking closer to your actual move-date, but the sooner you can research the type of companies you'll be working for, the better. AnchorageHelpWanted.com is always a good resource. But, then again, I found my current job on craigslist.
