What winter boots are your favorites for tromping around Anchorage in the winter? I've got my heart set on some sheepskin boots, and I was going to spray them good with waterproofer - but not sure if they're the best pick.

Xtratuf boots. Next would be Sorels. I will even say that Xtratufs can look sexy if worn correctly.

I am of the opinion that you should own several pairs of boots, in varying warmths, colours, and styles if you're going to live in Alaska.
