Mr bob thinks Jeaunue, Alaska be very best for pride joy showing off high end market autos, trucks. First Class city isolated in wilderness of Alaska. yes indeed.

I prefer older vehicles myself. Easy to work on and the rarer the better. I had 3 model T's all driveable until last fall, still drive a 68 chev pick-up (owned 19 years now) and just bought a 38 Plymouth pick-up in Montana I'll be bringing up this spring. I've owned all kinds of classic cars and trucks in this state. Good times. If they are not rusted to begin with...it's not anything to worry about.
I gotta ask Rance...whatda ya have for Model T's??? Growing up father restored cars mostly model T's and A's.. the Model T 1916 is still in the family!!! Certainly don't miss the whack in the forearm trying to crank that thing over!!!

I hope this isn't offensive, or anything, but I don't know tons about Anchorage, and I have only been there once: Does anybody in Anchorage drive a nice car (BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Lexus, etc.)? What about Fairbanks, or the rest of Alaska?
A lady on POW bought a benz abotu 25 years or so ago, before we even had pavement.

I had a 1922 Centerdoor Sedan, a 1925 T Truck, and a 1927 Roadster Pickup. Drove them all.
Sounds like you had the spark advanced to far! A fine tuned T will fire up with a 1/4 turn of the crank...starting about 8 o'clock and pulling the crank to 12 o'clock. Never wrap your thumb around the handle!
I used to use my foot. Set the crank about 2 o'clock and give it a swift shove down with my foot. I love them old T's.

wrap your thumb...lose your thumb!!! grew up with T and A parts on the kitchen table, in the house!!! Also were fortunate enough that father shared ownership in several small airplanes over the years of growing up.... I couldn't do the foot thing as I landed on my butt!!
