My stepson's grandmother is flying him out to Fairbanks to be with us for the summer. She's only staying 36 hours before she flies back.... she's welcome to stay longer but doesn't have the vacation days.

Anyway, with only 36 hours (well, I guess about 28 with sleep) to see the area, where should we take her?

Thanks!

Take her for a drive up to Eagle Summit on the Steese Hwy. It is absolutely beautiful there in the summer time. The views are something you won't forget and there is a really great chance she will get to see moose, bear, grouse.

Take her on a day bus trip back to Wonder Lake in Denali National Park, she will see moose, bear, wolf, sheep and the list goes on. Not to mention the "Mountain", if the day is clear. Will be the best "Short" day to see the most of Alaska.

Maybe book her on one of those flight-seeing trips around Denali.
