Topic - Black and White themed tiny house interior
Requirement - Each room should be a different experience.
For this i need to study the topic in detail and I am stuck wondering were to start and what to research exactly.
It would be so helpful if I could get suggestion on webs to go to or books to read any thinking that would help me to better understand the spirit of the Theme and everyone's thought and views on this.
I know about tiny homes but have never been inside one nor want to live in one. Now I did see an interesting photo spread on a home with stairs - The stairs were tiled in black and white vertical lines (Tread and riser). For the photo they put pots of red roses on one side of the stairs. It added a nice splash of color.
But I bet tiny homes don't have stairs. ??
I would think in tiny homes you'd want the walls white and add the color with bright pillows and accessories. I'd think large windows and mirrors. Like a wall of stainless steel cabinets in the kitchen with a high gloss finish.
Thank you! That's a good idea. Stairs as such isn't there but can incorporate one partiality eg. stairs to the kids room on the attic. My idea is to design a container size house maybe two container. I thought of dividing the spaces to small room with themes. Like the living or master bedroom to be a luxury theme, Kids room to be something like 101 dalmatian or Alice in wonderland theme, I know the space is small so I will be restricted. The whole idea is that it should be an immersive experiences to be in that space.
So you don't get claustrophobic . . . I'd go with an open plan. And have high ceilings, they make the room feel bigger.
Check images on a 'small house interior' search. I know ideas are out there. Another is scale your furniture down so it fits and isn't too big. Like couches. They tend to be huge and overflowing.
