I'm looking for some info about the water evaporation rate out here in AZ for a project I have in mind. There are a few communities out there that I saw in AZ that actually have a lake included in the community. They use boats and what not on them. The lakes look to be about 12 acres big. Anyone have any ideas where I can get some info about that?

I believe it's referred to as "Evapotranspiration"

evapotranspiration

Yuma groundwater

Now that you are armed with the correct term, you can search google for info. The rate will vary with the seasons and the location. In Yuma, the annual rate is over 100", with an annual rainfall of 3"...this means a lot of irrigation to keep things green.

You could check with City of Tempe-- they may have figures on Tempe Town Lake.
