Therefore, dear fellow Natives, please refrain from erroneously calling yourselves ARIZONIANS. We are ARIZONANS.

An Arizonan calling himself an Arizonian is analogous to a Californian calling himself a Californan.

I just say I'm a native and not a damn transplant, and I've never heard anyone say Arizonian.

There are numerous examples of it in written form on this forum, some of them from alleged natives. Maybe it's just a spelling thing.

I think it is a spelling thing, not a pronunciation thing.
