Thanks

Not much. Later in the year there are Young Fella's on Skidoo's and speed boats. But March is limited.

Ummm..... Spring break is March 15-23 in 2014 at U of A and I'll wager NAU and ASU spring breaks are within a week either way of that time. Havasu is spring break central for tons of students.

If I was visiting Lake Havasu in late march with a 16 year old daughter I'd make sure I took along a VERY short leash!

Stand up paddle board lessons / rental
When I go there with teanage sons, we always have to go to In and Out burger near the English village
Go to a movie (several theators)
take the ferry boat to Havasu landing for breakfast or lunch..
Look at the calendar at golakehavasu.com, sometimes there might be a local event that is interesting.

I grew up 38 miles south of Lake Havasu in Parker, AZ.

As said though, look out for the college Spring Breakers.

Movie Theatres

London Bridge (Lots of little trinket gift shops there) but where the Spring Break people will be also, right along what they call the channel.

Huge new state of the art Skate Park. Probably the nicest public skate park in the U.S.

Aquatic Center for Swimming

Paddle Boarding or Kayaking (Huge number of places that rent these there)

Wave Runner /JetSki rentals

Restaurants - Taco Hacienda (Mexican Food)
Shugrue's (Steak and Fish) (Make a Reservation)

I think what we are mostly saying is if you go in March, you should consider locking your daughter in the Motel Closet for the duration.

^^ And if you don't believe him, google "spring break Havassu" on youtube.

She will get to see London Bridge, and you can take an afternoon and drive up to Oatman and feed the wild roaming "pet" burros (also the town where Clark Gable and Carol Lombard spent their honeymoon - every 16 year old will be impressed, I'm sure. LOL)

And be sure to have some fun!

Although I grew up just a little over 100 miles from Lake Havasu, I had never been there until March of 2010. The family went there including my two teenage sons. The sons were thinking they would see lots of young ladies wearing very little..

However, what they really did see were lots of senior citizens, really not that many kids. You can find the kids if you look for them (usually in the channel). I think the Lake Havasu image of "spring break" is just a small part of the way that place is. I think the image that fits it better might be more of a "summer camp for seniors" during the winter.

During that time of the year, there are huge amount more snowbirds than kids there. For the original poster, I would worry more about bringing your parents there than your kid..

Howdy Hank

Spend some fun time at Avi Casino (close to Laughlin), they have nice beach on the Colorado River, boat ramp, swimming pool, etc etc. We have many happy memories of times spent there & the friendly, good folks.

Have a wonderful Adventure...

Summer Camp for Seniors may be the best description I have ever heard.
