There is only one Sun City. All of the others have another word in the name. West, Grand, etc. No one in those places say they live in Sun City.

get out your map & find bell rd or thunderbird rd in phx. now head west. once you cross over the "new river" (which if i remember correctly was a dry river bed for most of the year), cross the river & there you are in the original sun city.

i always thought it was funny to see golf carts on the road/sitting at stop lights in sun city with regular cars it was perfectly legal to drive them on the main roads in sun city - i'm assuming it's still this way?

One more thing for the OP.

You really have to visit some of these places for a few weeks to make sure that you feel comfortable. It is a significant investment to move cross country and you want to make sure that you don't make a mistake.
