I don't think your a libertarian if your with the tea party. I have been to their meetings and heard them talking about getting God back in schools and against legalizing pot.

Small government and forget about social issues. That is the only way to go.
1: Reagan would be rolling in his grave if he seen what the GOP has turned into in the last decade. When we have Politicians arguing that we need someone left of Obama(Romney) or Obama-Lite(McDem, Chris Christie) and that Politicians that are almost as right of Reagan(Paul Jr, Gingrich, Cain ect) are unelectable extremists, President Reagan would NOT recognize the GOP.

2: I've been a Libertarian for decades, and an ORIGINAL Tea Partier. FYI: WE started the Tea Party. It was created as a Grassroots Ron Paul Movement. It has been hijacked, and it is annoying but no genuine Libertarian is going to support statist Liberals like McCain, Romney or Gramnesty. Anyone who claims they're Libertarian yet supporting borderline Socialists and full on Socialists.

3: Those issues can be debated and fixed later. Most Libertarians realize they need the Conservatives and likewise because right now the Left-Wing is BOTH wings.

You responded to him calling McCain "socially liberal." I was correcting it, he's just plain Liberal, no Conservatism to be found. That's the problem right now. THAT is the point.

Okay, so let's address this post.

1: Find me a "Socially Liberal yet Fiscally Conservative" candidate, or candidates. I'll vote for them. Just don't try to sell me McCain and Brewer are that, they're not.

2: As for Socially Conservative Governments growing see: Texas. They're schooling AZ's faux Conservaliberal Government. Not even close, they're blowing the doors off of the rest of the Country.

3: If you want an Educated Population that has little to do with State Politics. Think local. The Cities and Towns need to stop living in the 1970's and catering to the part timer silverhairs. Build an Economic model that will attract higher caliber jobs than retail. Likewise, a decline in that population will remove the 80 and 90 year old phoney Conservatives running AZ and we can actually GET good Politicians in office as we won't have snowbirds keeping the "greatest(pffft) generation" in Office.

4: By Xenophobic I take it you mean wanting to close the border. Yes, horrible idea, we need more 2007-2008 Economic crashes brought on by open borders so as not to appear "racist."

5: Get rid of the Liberals first, THEN let's work on Balancing the Religious aspect.

Amen,he is far from a war hero.he was a collaborator,an inept pilot and a traitor to the mia's left in vietnam. Everything he has done is to cover up any trail of possibel american lives left in vietnam. Also,he has done nothing to help th eva problems we now face.he is senile and useless.

People that knew McCain when he was in the service can tell you why his radio callsign was maverick.
I he had not had influential relatives of senior rank he would have never made it through the academy or been allowed to stay in the military.
I was told by a senior AF fighter pilot he was not in an authorized area when he was shot down. I that's the case it was his problem and I don't feel a bit sorry for him.
And rather than being discharged he is assigned to the senate as a "boy" where he deserts his wife for an heiress? Nope, this man has little self respect in my opinion.

I don't like McCain my self. I don't see him as a Conservative or someone that has the Republics best interest at heart.

I have to wonder, for so many that want him gone, why does he get reelected?

As a supposed war hero, he fits the image of what they want.
And in this state, he is with the right party to get the vote so as long as the party supports him he will be there.
He is still a do nothing as far as many are concerned.

Those of us that live here are still trying to figure out what he is.
I have never been pro party one way or another myself but many here in AZ just see the republican attached to anything and go for it.
