Leaving Michigan to move there in Dec, what is the hot rod scene like ? are the police really tight on street cars , inspections ect ? , here in the Detroit metro area if it has head lights, tail lights and wipers you can drive it on the street. I'm really looking forward to driving all year ..NO SNOW or salt

ROFL - hotrod scene? You must have purgatory (where old people wait to die) miuxed up with Hollywood. Hotrods? Probably a few original Edsels around.

Do 20mph over the speed limit or 86mph max limit in AZ it is "criminal speeding.". Yes, you can be arrested and go to jail and have your car impounded. You want to race cars, go to CA.

This ain't Detroit. Here we soup up jet skis!

Sorry, didn't mean for you to take it that way. Just being my sarcastic self. My apologies. I'm sure you will love Havassu. It will be a shock I thinks coming from a city like Detroit to the end of the earth. Well not the end of the earth, but you can see it from there.

Welcome to AZ. I usually tell people to buy a gun, but coming frm Detroit you probably have that covered.

Havasu is known for it's classic "hot rod" scene. Now if you are looking to street drag race you might have a problem. But in Havasu you will find anything and everything is driven on the city streets from motorized bicycles, quads, Polaris, rangers, antique, classic, jacked up trucks and so on. There are several car clubs and events. On Thursday evenings you can find classic car enthusiast meeting up on McCulloch Blvd. The biggest car event of the year starts tomorrow. 38th Annual Relics & Rods Run to the Sun - Events Calendar - Lake Havasu, Arizona

Also, nearby Kingman, AZ is the original "Radiator Springs", also with a big classic car scene. Once a year they have the "street drags", where they close down main street to traffic, put up bleachers and a "christmas tree" (starter lights) and have proper drag races for three days.

And just down the road, Yuma has Midnight at the Oasis. Plus you are close to Lost Wages...and Counts Kustoms.

Those jet skis are too dangerous. Here in Bullhead we ride motorcycles! Every April is the River Run, about 30,000 bikes converge here and Havassu!

I'd sell the snowmobile before moving, not much market here.

But luckily Tractor Supply has log splitters and riding lawn mowers for sale. Cause of all the grass and so you can get firewood for those 70 degree days in February from the great Mohave Forest.

"Tractor Supply has log splitters"...never did understand that logic....but lawnmowers, yes, I have a half acre to mow in Yuma, and they are one of the few places that do sell riders. Went into BHC WalMart one balmy winter day, looking for flip flops...only to be told that all the summer stuff had been replaced with heavy winter stuff.....duh...this is BHC !
