Hmmmmmmm, any possibility the recent news that one of the Terrorist in the Paris Attacks was a Syrian Refugee explains and justifies this strong "Common Sense" approach?

Don't we have more than enough "unknowns" in this country already?

Your point regarding this administration's looking the other way when it comes to so-called sanctuary cities is an affront to the citizens and legal immigrants of America, and always has been. For our government to suddenly adhere to the Constitution and condemn states for refusing to allow non-Americans into their areas, which they should rightly do for safety reasons, is a total reversal when there is refusal to condemn itself when it comes to the question of sanctuary cities and the criminal element which they protect.
Excellently stated Colt.

Agree Bummer.

And given this sobering information, right from our FBI director, isn't it beyond prudent to question all of this very carefully as many of the states including AZ are suggesting?

It's scary to me some of our "leaders" and citizens are so naive, who in my view seem to be living in an idealistic/Utopian textbook world that doesn't exist. And given our gov has mismanaged so many things in the past, some want to trust them on this to get it right, especially in the light of what the FBI director is saying here?

This is absolutely correct. Once a person is admitted to the United States as a refugee, they can live wherever they want. They have an absolute right to travel. There's nothing a state can do about it.

First of all, "hundreds of thousands" is incorrect. Second of all, there are thousands of hardworking Muslims already living here. Good people who are good neighbors. The lumping of those good people in with radicals who are going against the basic tenets of the Muslim faith is a byproduct of media outlets that breed this hysteria, and people who don't take the time to learn real facts about something they don't understand.

And let's not lose sight of the fact that the governor has made this symbolic pronouncement against ALL refugees, from EVERY country, not just Syria. He stands alone there. More bad press for AZ. It seems it never stops.

We haven't received much press at all actually. If he were beating his war drums publicly I'd agree, but only local media is even covering that.
