I couldn't find a thread in this forum with a similar topic after the search though I still believe such a thread has existed at one point.... What do you like most about our state? I'll start with my list:

- The smell of the desert after the rain
- Warm summer nights
- Big open skies, being able to see from horizon to horizon
- Lower COL
- Cold winter nights
- Amazing outdoors so close by
- Amazing sunsets/sunrises
- Great scenery wherever you go
- Mexican food

These are my favorites! What about you?

Good points OP.

Here's mine.

Cheap gas
Cheap women
Cheap housing
Cheap car registration
Flagstaff
Oak Creek Canyon
Supai, and the roar of Mooney Falls and the light on the cliffs of the canyon under a full moon.
In Northern AZ (anyway) you can go water skiing on the Colorado and snow skiing in Flagstaff in the same day!

And we get to carry GUNS!

Thanks for a positive thread!

I love the scenery.
I love the amount of public-owned land.
I love the more relaxed vibe - I can't imagine living on the east coast ever again.
I love the cost of living - I can't imagine living in CA.
I love not having to change my clocks twice a year.
And we have a pretty awesome state flag.

Can I add more? After recent news, I'm reminded how much I love not worrying about hurricanes, tornadoes, and earthquakes.

Not that they'll never happen, just not with the frequency I was used to...

Good one! I haven't seen others mention it, but I've thought that myself.

I've always loved & appreciated Arizona's state flag. It's wonderfully different from other state flags, and it's second ONLY to Old Glory, IMHO!
