I moved to Tempe on or around July 24. A few days later I registered online to vote. A month later I have recieved no card or notification that I've registered. Other states I've lived in have not taken this long. Does AZ not send out voter cards. Is a long wait typical? I might have to contact some folks and see what's going on. Don't want to be left out come November.

Did you get some sort of confirmation page at the end of the online process? I've never done registration online, so I don't know what the process is. Try this page:

https://recorder.maricopa.gov/earlyv...reglookup.aspx

If you don't show up there, I'd call the Elections Dept at the county and ask.

Thanks for the link. I was able to verify my status as well as finding my polling place. I also sent them a message about not having a card. Just a mistake I assume.

It may actually take a while to get a card. I haven't needed a new one in so long I don't remember!

I registered at the DMV here and I'm not sure I really like the idea of registering online. Although I DO love taking care of all my other DMV stuff online. I'm just wondering how easy it would be for illegal residents to do it. What kind of proof do they ask for to make sure a person is qualified to vote? Just curious and it would put my mind at ease if it's something that's really investigated and not just "assumed".

It's been so long I don't recall how long it took to get my card. Last time was when I changed my party affiliation. Glad you got it straightened out though.

Maybe that is the reason why it is taking him so long? I reregistered last week and ordered a new drivers license online. I just got the Drivers license in the mail. I will keep you updated on when I get mine.

I gave my SSN and DL info. You have a valid concern but I assume/hope the info is verified.

It could possibly the state funding. They are under staffed, so the folks that are working for the department may be backed up pretty good.

They do get the DL sent out pretty fast. I would like to know how long it takes to get the voter registration card and wish I could remember with mine!

That's exactly what bothers me, especially with so many fake IDs out there. Although I still don't think that illegals have all that much interest in voting here, but you just never know.
