I remember when Broomfield was mostly a farm community back in the late 80s to early 90s with only 20k people. Now it's roughly 60k people, and growing quickly. The city built Flatirons Mall in 1999, still a fairly popular area and had a housing boom in the 2000s. It's still expanding rapidly on the north side with new housing and strip mall businesses popping up everywhere that has vacant land. Interlocken is the IT sector of the suburb, which has amenities like Silicon Valley. The current hot area to keep an eye on the city is Arista Uptown, an urbanized apartment and townhome area on the west side near Wadsworth Blvd and Uptown Ave.

I'm not familiar with Goodyear and Buckeye but I believe it's because of the new businesses the area is attracting and new housing development. The open area and plenty of land probably play a factor for the population expansion.

Thanks for asking but I'm not interested in living in either one of these Arizona cities.

There are thousands of cities in the US and Az snagged 2 of the top growth cities, I find that impressive even if I choose not to live in those particular cities at this moment in time.

Especially when you take into account that Buckeye only had 6,000 people in the year 2000...now it has 60,000.....mind blowing.

I'm not a fan of Buckeye either but yeah that's basically a 700 percent increase, pretty crazy.
