I read a lot of condemnations of Senator McCain by certain conservatives on the Internet, especially on comment sections. Yet he is apparently still popular in Arizona. Is he thought of as a centrist there? And has he brought home a lot of bacon?

These newer type Republicans like to call people like McCain a RINO. They don't believe in negotiation and getting at least some of what you want. They are all or nothing types. Goldwater warned us when the religious right came into the party. I consider the ones that came into the party with Falwell and Robertson to be the RINOS. They only care about social issues and guns.

McCain should win. I think he gets quite a few crossover voters.

There used to be quite a bit of crossover appeal for McCain, his endorsement of Trump and introducing us to Palin when he ran for President alienated a lot of people however. He used to market himself as a "Maverick," a guy who reaches across to get things done. He hasn't gotten done a whole lot lately other than being on TV.

In terms of national "clout" no other politician in Arizona has the level of seniority than McCain at this time.

Mccain has been censured by his own party for working against the principals, ideals and values of his party and pushing the democrats agenda when his job is to fight against it.
He is a prime example of why term limits are needed because when politicians are in government for to long they develop such a huge power base from lobbyists it is almost impossible to get them ousted.

His job is to make things better for the people of Arizona and America, not to fight against everything the far right disagrees with.

He was censured by the far right PC's. They are not the average Republicans.

His job is to represent the views of those that elected him to the senate if he wants to vote democrat and represent far left causes he should run as a democrat.
I just got my early voting ballot and voted for Dr Kelli Ward and the rest of my family is voting for her as well.

I'm a left of center Democrat and would have voted for McCain over Gore in 2000. After Palin, no way, although I'm hoping Meghan will run for office.

"His job is to make things better for the people of Arizona and America"....Including Veterans...regardless that he is a Veteran, his voting record is abysmal when it comes to supporting Veterans issues.
