Some of us really need intercity public bus service between Sierra Vista, Bisbee, Benson, etc.

Currently there is a survey you can take online if you want to support this new bus service.

https://www.cochise.az.gov/health-an...city-bus-route

There is currently no public bus or affordable way to travel away from Sierra Vista. The shuttle and cab companies have a monopoly and are hard to get. I have waited up to an hour for a cab and on the weekends; they just cruise the base and don't even bother with other passengers including seniors at the grocery stores and nursing homes.

Their fare to the Tucson airport is about $87.00

We need Urber. We need expanded Sierra Vista bus service and inter city bus.

I hope you all will support this effort.

The problem is in the US, unlike other countries, the costs to operate buses or small "combis" like in Mexico, etc. are so expensive that it isn't profitable for most routes.

Used to be Geryhound or Trailways went everywhere. No more.

Sad thing is we STILL have lots of bus crashes. Maybe not as bad as the Andes, but enough.

And most places if someone runs a bootleg cab they get arrested, or if there's an accident there's no insurance.
