Thanks. Sounds like Cochise County needs more polling places, too.

Everyone is free to use whatever voting technique they prefer, but I have always loved the process of physically going to the polls and interacting with the poll workers, and sometimes my fellow voters, and marking that ballot in the booth. In other countries, people risk their lives to do that. I am grateful for the opportunity. YMMV.
Sorry, Observer, the two points in my comparison are very similar.

I have the utmost respect for your position, however, anyone complaining about the long lines is not being realistic . . . especially considering the alternatives Arizona has in force to solve / prevent the negative situation.

If waiting in line to vote satisfies your pride, etc . . . GO FOR IT.

I waited until about 4pm to vote, my daughter wanted me to go with her after work.

I walked right in and voted.

When I went to pick up my ballot I asked them if I could get one for my deceased father too....then asked if the ballot box was really a paper shredder.

They just laughed and told me it was a scanner that read my vote and name and put it on a big flashing sign outside.

I knew most of the poll workers and we all enjoyed the moment of levity.

As a poll worker this year, we NEVER had more than 10 people in the precinct at any one time. Over 75% of the voters were early voting. We had about 50 early ballots that were dropped off throughout the day.

It was quite boring.
