I waited until about 9:30 this morning before I headed to the town's polling place. I did not expect voting to take more than an hour. I was sadly mistaken. Since people could vote anywhere within the county, our polling place was packed with over 100 people and the line snaked back and forth throughout the room. The heat in the room due to the crowd was very uncomfortable. After standing in line for over an hour and because I was beginning to feel light headed and was afraid of passing out, less than halfway through the line, I left without voting

If I go back later this afternoon, I will wear a tank top and shorts (even though the day itself is cool and windy), and I will take a bottle of water and bring a lawn chair.

What kind of voting lines did you encounter? Did it appear to be a record turnout as the workers at my polling place said?

Vote out Purcell she's proven incompetent. Then Reagan when she's up.

This is why early voting is better than waiting in line.

None, they mailed my ballot to me on October 12th, I filled it out and I mailed it back and they received and verified it on October 17th!

I used to like/love the excitement of voting the day of an election, then realized early voting by mail is the best thing since sliced bread.

I received mine in the mail, took my time making all my choices, mailed it back last week. I verified it was received and counted late last week.

There is no reason that voting needs to be that much of a chore in Arizona since anyone can get on the list for early balloting.

My polling place wasn't that busy; there were people voting, a few in line and more arriving, but I expect it will be a lot busier later today.

There was no line at the mailbox when I dropped mine in and the internet traffic was nil when I confirmed it was counted.

It was an hour and 15 minute wait for me this morning, and I showed up a few minutes after 6:00 am. My own fault for letting the mail-in voting window pass me by.

that's not what the news said last night. If you don't go to your assigned polling location today, anything other than turning in an early ballot, it will be considered a provisional ballot and WILL NOT count.
