As usual, people seem to be forgetting that we live in a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC, not a DEMOCRACY. A representative government. Google it. If you don't like HOW they are voting, HOW they are deciding law, vote them out. Don't just complain about it.

Venezuela is a 'democracy'....

Well, a constitutional republic is a form of democracy but I think I understand your point. It is not an unfettered democracy.

Correct. Not sure a democracy benefits everyone though...since majority would rule. So some would have no voice, which isn't a fair system. So while imperfect to some degree, it's the most fair.

Case & point; if liberals went with majority vote on same sex marriage, it would never have passed. As we saw in many states, including CA. So careful what you wish for people. Things might not always go your way....
