Yup.

And did you know there is a Dark Star road in Benson?
And that the early UAV Darkstar program was named for the film (the actual Darkstar does somewhat resemble (at least from the side) the Dark Star spaceship in the film.

We fell in love with this area this winter. Safe peaceful small town, close to plenty of shopping in tucson, lots of things to do in the area. Plus the best thing is the high dessert climate. Not so hot in summer, yet still pleasant in winter. No snow at all.

"No snow at all"....you just haven't been there long enough yet.

pictures of 2.5" of snow in Benson

Now in the overall grand scheme, 2.5" isn't much, and it melts almost as fast as it falls, but it does snow in Benson, and further south.

Yeah, it does snow in Benson every once in a while. Last "real" snow we got was 4 years ago. - and even that "big" snow (a couple of inches) didn't stick to the roads and was entirely gone by noon. Texas Canyon - 15 minutes away - got snow this past Christmas morning. All kinds of folks stopped at the freeway rest stop to take pictures. It was beautiful while it lasted. Benson itself was cold that morning but we had no snow.

For all practical purposes, it's pretty much snow-free in Benson - not entirely, but pretty much so.

Yeah, it's fabulous here. SE Arizona is almost "criminally" underrated - which is actually a good thing for those of us smart enough to settle here. And yeah your climate comments are pretty much on target. As Gemstone1 mentioned it DOES snow here every so often, but it's so infrequent and so brief when it does happen as to be essentially inconsequential. We LOVE it here.
