He's practically a legend, the tanned man who shows a lot of skin. I knew from previous visits to Reader's Oasis he had been sick for nearly a year. His wife, Joanne, is keeping the store going. She says he's still not well and will need more treatment.

If you're whizzing down I-10, why not stop in Quartzsite and visit Reader's Oasis? I'm afraid the Winers may lose the store without Paul's distinctive personality.

Sorry to hear that. He is a legend. I've had several conversations with him in the heat of the summer when I lived in Quartzsite year round. Besides Blues and boogie woogie piano, he is an accomplished classical pianist. Get Well Paul.
