What does the future hold for Casa Grande with the construction of the I-11 and Dreamport Village projects?

I-11 seems to have been a pipe dream for a long time. Once they actually have a start date for the project we will see what happens.

Think with manufacturing plants moving into Casa Grande, any large freeway (I-10) and railroad access I can see the area turning into Arizona's version of the Inland Empire with warehouses and factories.

Found this on the net.

Southern Terminus - Interstate 10 - Phoenix, Arizona
The corridor for Interstate 11 through the Phoenix area is not yet finalized.

This is probably pretty accurate - and I say this as an active in local issues CG resident.

However, IF Dreamport Villages (which rumor has it is back on again soon - beyond the recent TV story) and Attesa Motorsports and Entertainment Venue (www.attesa.com), which has announced a 1st phase groundbreaking for August, come to fruition you can add entertainment destination to those industries.

In the short term housing is HOT HOT HOT here again - 101 new home permits in January, and 41 in February. For a town our size if that keeps up in any real way, population growth will be crazy.

We ll see all what happens - Lucid Motors is the only really close big project with groundbreaking in April/May, and then there is another one still secret that is pending announcement soon.

As for I 11 - who knows. We passed a regional transportation tax in 2017, and some of that was supposed to go to secure right of way for I 11 - but it is in the courts now over validity - even though it is being collected already. (I am a supporter of the tax by the way).

Houses and strip malls with the occasional large project that never happens or falls short of what was promised, like Phoenix used to be.

Casa Grande's future still lays in the future, no one knows for sure.
