Does any of the larger lakes in AZ allow full time residency on a houseboats?
Havasu, Mead, Powell or Pleasant come to mind.

Temple Bar marina on Lake Mead used to have a ton of huge houseboats, most of which never left the dock slip. You may want to enquirer there.

I have found with further research that full time houseboat living just does not happen much here.

Wait, I've stopped at Cleator for a beer a handful of times on the way to Crown King. There's a bar and not much else.
