Remember that Silver Alert we got on our cell phones? Well, it looks like the new AZDPS system for Wireless Emergency Alerts is now officially live. As before AZDPS will send all AMBER Alerts to cell phones. In addition, all Blue Alerts will also be sent to cell phones. In the case of Silver Alerts, they will be sent to cell phones if there is an imminent threat to safety or life.

If you remember my previous thread, I did have concern about the "cry wolf" effect for Silver Alerts since they are far more frequent than AMBER Alerts. Looks like AZDPS is setting activation criteria for Silver Alerts instead of sending them for all Silver Alerts.
