Anyone know what plant this is that has started growing up in my yard. I thought it looked like a Palo Verde tree, except that the stem/trunk is not green, but a regular brown bark color.

It looks like a young Moringa tree, very desirable. They grow quickly, and the leaves are nutritious. YT has a lot about them also.

Might be Mesquite. I don't think that's Moringa.

It is adjacent to a mesquite tree, but the leaves are totally different.

It looks like many of the photos in the link I included. Same type of leaves. See if it is a fast grower. Lot's of people are growing them now so a bird could have dropped a seed. Whatever it is it looks happy.

Bird of Paradise makes sense. Are there thorns?
