The only reason for these is to keep the driver out of a ticket. This should have been on the books a while ago.

They dont work, period. Mythbusters tested this myth awhile back, using every kind of plate cover under the sun and none of them worked. The only time they beat the camera was by hitting obnoxiously high speeds. All the other covers, sprays, etc, were proven ineffective by the show.

Sorry Steve but, this bill was at the request of Law Enforcement in AZ - it seems many of these covers do, in fact, work according to law enforcement.
