Hello City-Data forum folks,
Which area in Arizona is a good place to search for my new career? I know it is some time away however it's always good to plan ahead. I will be moving from Michigan.
The housing and commute I would like to be low priced and not a great distance to drive in heavy traffic.
I would be a divorced woman with her dog.
I enjoy to go to clubs and shopping and walking my dog.
A safe place for a single woman of 55 or 56 by then (O:.
Thank you so much and I appreciate the guidance.

Not Yuma. I've heard Prescott is a good place to live & is much less expensive than Phoenix/Yuma areas. Both have heavy commutes, Phoenix being the worse of the two. With a Med Assistant certificate, you will be on the low end of the pay scale, so knowing that, unless you have another source of income, Phoenix may not be the cheapest place to live. I wouldn't recommend Yuma either as it's expensive here due to the snowbirds coming in the winters.

Good luck & let us know when you get here.

I've heard many MA's who couldn't find work in Phx. Other areas of Az I have no idea.
