One interesting little moment from ASU graduation last night... when the Board of Regents was introduced, Gov. Brewer was introduced first, to what can fairly be described as a "smattering" of applause. Even I (no Brewer fan) was surprised at the lack of response and felt kind of embarrassed for her. (Visitors from states with popular governors must have noticed). There was a MUCH more favorable response when Pres. Obama mentioned Janet Napolitano.

I was a bigger Janet Napolitano fan in the past than I have been in the last year or so. I think he has better options.

I don't think Brewer or any of the AZ Republicans are too popular in the education circles - for good reason.

I think Prez O has realized he made a mistake putting Janet in such an important position (Homeland Security) so now he wants to put her somewhere else , so the country isn't at so much risk........

Does it really matter WHO is placed in the Supreme Court if their main purpose is to be part of a political machine's leanings? Whether it be Justices in the Supreme Court, or ANY lower court judges, they should never be part of a decision to overturn what the American people or state/local residents have VOTED in.
